Fall/Winter Trends That Are Anything But Boring

Fall has approached us rather quickly which means more warm cuppas, pumpkin picking and long nights snuggled with a good movie. And, the perfect excuse to switch up our winter wardrobe!

Millennial purple

Fall can be drab, cold and dark and that is why it is important to spruce up your look this winter with a pop of colour. Looking back at 2019 fall fashion week, I fell in love with millennial purple. It’s a pop of colour that stands out from all the hues fall is wrapped up in and can easily add some sparkle to your outfit.

Whether you are dressed head to toe in millennial purple or you just touch it up with an accessory, you can’t go wrong with this 2019 fashion trend. Not sure how to style it? Have a look at a few of my favourite modest fashion picks and get on that trend!

Honey Hijabs Millenial Purple

Whether you want your hijab to blend with the rest of your outfit or you want it to stand out. You can’t go wrong with our Honey Hijabs Juwi Gold Lace in Lilac and Juwi OpalGlamorous and comfortable: two words that describe these Hijabs.

HijabHijab

Either worn on the eye or on the shoulder, pair it with your favourite maxi dress or abaya and you’re good to go. I have been loving the Kasni Ruffle Sleeves Dress from I Love Modesty. The A-line shaped dress exudes an air of elegance with its gentle flare simply pair it with your favourite Hijab and you are ready to take on Fall.

If you’re going for a more daring yet simple look for work then the Button through wrap maxi shirt dress is for you. Pair it with a statement bag and comfy heels and you’ll be work-ready in minutes.  Weekends is a time to dress down and I have been loving the mid-rise pleated skirt style which you can simply pair with your favourite sweater or trusted shirt. My favourite is the Ralph Lauren Mid-rise Pleated Skirt in dusty Lilac - perfect for shopping with the girls.

Satin Fabric

Another trend that has recently picked up steam and that I am totally in love with is satin. I definitely jumped aboard that train so fast, and i'm obsessed. Shining bright in satin dresses and skirts that fall to the ankle, Satin is such a beautiful fabric that doesn’t require a lot and is a great transition piece from day to night. I fell in love with the silky look, the way it drapes your frame and how comfortable it is to wear. Whether it is a dress, skirt or blouse it's perfect to pair with an oversized sweater and some boots.

I love this ASOS DESIGN Tall satin pleated midi skirt in Burgundy, paired with this Montpellier Sweater in Rose Rococo from Aritzia or an H&M light pink sweater, bold colours for that perfect fall statement look. Or head for a more subtler look with the ASOS Design satin pleated column midi-skirt and the H&M Knit Turtleneck Sweater. Or why not go all the way with this ASOS DESIGN satin maxi dress with drape layer detail? Either way, Satin skirts are all the rage this Fall.

And, I am happy to announce that Honey Hijabs we’ll be releasing the new Satin Velour collection in December -  keep your eyes peeled for this!
